Welcome to the St. Ursula Soccer Website!
Get ready for the 2011 Fall outdoor season! Practice for travel teams (U10 & up) begins on Mon. August 1 (for boys and U14 girls) and Tues. August 2 (for U12 and U10 girls). Practice for the Under 8 and Under 7 clinics will begin on Tues., August 9, and the under 6 clinic will begin practice on Tues., August 16. The practice schedule with times and locations are listed below. Please note that the days have changed for certain age groups, and that all practices will be held at Belmont Park. Saturday practices are through August 28th. U10, U12 and U14 teams will play in a Labor Day weekend tournament. Games begin the weekend after Labor Day.
Once again, we are asking that every player bring a soccer ball to practice. This will maximize each player’s “touches” on the ball during practice. Coaches will only have a minimal number of balls provided from the program, so it is important that each child brings a ball with them with the child’s name on it. All age groups that are U-12 and below should have a size 4 ball; U-14 teams and older should have a size 5 ball.
Travel Teams (U10 and up) will begin practicing in team groupings. Please inform your children that skill level is just one of several factors considered in forming teams, and team rosters may still undergo some changes before rosters are finalized.
Also, we still have openings for all clinic levels and some, but not all, travel teams. If you know someone who is still interested in playing soccer but has not yet signed up, please instruct them to go to our website and register. For the travel teams, we suggest that you email us first to check to see if we have an opening for the specific age group of your child.
You should be receiving your raffle tickets from your coaches in the first week or two of practice. Please let us know if you have not received yours.
